Well, as multiple folks have already said, GNEW was amazing. The bar had all it's liquor iced and ready to go before the royals arrived. We even had time for 2 appetizers, the Steamed Chicken Feet and the Chicken Liver Pate. Both went over like lead balloons. The Carolingians tasted them but everyone else wrinkled their noses at it. So much for period food attempts. We didn't expect people would be raving about them but we were atleast hoping someone else would try it. Feh!
Anyway, the liquor was popular, and once again my Cranberry meade Kicked A^&*.
So this weekend will probably be the last for the Bar. In it's first year it's done pretty well. 3 appearances within 2 months was more than I had originally hoped for.
This upcoming weekend is just a demo. And although we're in public, there won't be any real alcohol on the bar. We'll be selling cups of Sekanjabin for a buck apiece. Our local scadians will drink for free but the general public will help restock the cost of the sugar and hopefully a profit to be applied to other events.
Then the bar goes into winter hibernation, unless someone out there has another event that the Bar could contribute to. I really enjoy using it, but even I have to admit, we need to get some downtime to restock and revamp a few things before hitting the road again in Spring. Maybe Panteria if the weather is good.
